The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the warehouse and leading the warehouse associates.  The Warehouse Lead reports directly to the Sozo Trading Production Manager. 

It is the duty of the Warehouse Lead to hold to the mission, vision and core values of Sozo Children.   

Responsibilities:

Oversee intake and pick-up of Sozo Trading Co Donations

• Manage and facilitate pick-up of donations of thrift goods and ensure excellent customer service at all times
• With support from the Production Manager, make decisions about items to be picked-up to align with standards set forth by management, and communicate with Production Manager prior to pick-up if items are in question
• Ensure outside donation bin is emptied throughout the day and donations taken to warehouse for sortin

Waste Management and Recycling

• Properly dispose of any items that are not sellable or recyclable   Prepare items for recycling according to process set forth by Production 

Organize Warehouse

• Sort donations and maintain warehouse in an organized manner
• Maintain order, cleanliness and safety or warehouse at all times   Move large items to sales floor as determined by Production Manager and Sozo 
• Responsible for maintaining weekly inventory of excess donations
• Responsible for supplying production with requested products
• Must communicate with Sozo Trading Manager and Production Manager daily to ensure appropriate flow of goods needed in accordance with production schedule
• Maintain order, cleanliness and safety or warehouse at all times  
• Move large items to sales floor as determined by Production Manager and Sozo Trading Manager

Provide Leadership to Warehouse Associates

• Facilitate training and provide motivational leadership to all Warehouse Associates, including training and certification in forklift operation

Manage Opening and Closing of Warehouse

• Ensure all warehouse doors and gates are properly secured at close of business each day 

Oversee Maintenance of Box Truck

• Ensure truck is kept clean inside and out at all times
• Ensure routine oil changes and maintenance are performed and provide records of such maintenance
• Report any concerns with maintenance or safety of truck to Sozo Trading Manager immediately
• Follow all driving policies as set forth in employee handbook
